| I have the best kid in the world, no contest. |

Logan thought he'd be a big help, and he'd wake up early and make pancakes for me. Seemingly forgetting the number one rule that he's not allowed to touch the stove, and that he needs the stove to make pancakes. He followed the rule, of course, because he's a good kid. So, I woke up this morning, much earlier than I would have liked to, because he had the cartoons too loud. I get out of bed and go into the kitchen to make some coffee, only to see a mixture of water, pancake mix, flour, and sugar all in a bowl on the counter. It was like a paste, it was thick enough to probably be used as cement.
Anyway, after tearing his attention away from the cartoons, I asked him what the hell it was. And he told me that he was going to make pancakes until he remembered he couldn't use the stove. I don't know why he thought he needed to add flour and sugar to the bowl, but ... whatever. It was the thought that counted. So I made him some pancakes and we sat and watched cartoons for about half an hour before he fell asleep on the couch again around 7am.
I wonder how early he woke up. I'm probably going to go back to sleep for a little bit, too. |

I think my kid is trying to give me a heart attack. First off ... first thing he did once we arrived in Boston? Broke his fucking arm. And let me tell you how much fun it was dealing with a four-year-old in a cast. NOT FUN AT ALL. He was whiney alot, and he tried my patience alot. But whatever, I handled it.
Today, I come into the living room, and he's nowhere to be found. I look out on the balcony, through the glass doors, and he's BENDING OVER THE RAILING, trying to reach a toy that's fallen over. I don't think I've moved so fast in my entire life. I feel kind of bad, I yelled at him pretty hardcore after that, but he scared the shit out of me. I love that little boy more than anything, and I have no idea what I would do if anything happened to him.
He's going to be a daredevil, I swear to god. |
